Robin
In 2020 Robin’s coworkers jokingly suggested she write a book with all the stories she told them at work about her three-legged, incontinent dog, Brock. Brock forced his way into Robin’s life ten years earlier just six months after her mother passed and less than a year after Robin had come out to her parents. Brock was the exact thing Robin needed and she was the exact thing Brock needed when he suffered a spinal stroke. Robin became Brock’s caretaken and with it came some the most hilarious situations anyone could imagine. Brock’s enduring spirit made him the thing of legends. His recovery was nothing short of a miracle and he continued inspiring all he met for the next five and a half years. Robin and Brock finally said goodbye in the Spring of 2022.
It would take Robin a year and a half before she felt like she was able to let another pup in her life. A friend sent her the link to a no kill shelter in Portland and close to the bottom was Josie, whom Robin scrolled past initially. After unsuccessfully trying to make an appointment with another dog, Robin made an appointment to meet Josie. The handler brought Josie into the visitor room, she ran over grabbed a ball from the toy chest and jumped on the couch completely ignoring her. Robin was immediately in love but it took another trip before she brought her home. Robin and Josie continue to live in the Portland area.
Brock
Brock was rescued by one of his original mother’s friend and posted a pic on Facebook trying to get someone generous soul to adopt him. Thankfully she was a sucker
Josie
Josie’s first six years of life is unknown. What we do know is Josie was brought to Portland from somewhere in California. She was described as bossy and that certainly checks out. She rules the house and sometimes let Robin believe she’s in charge. She loves the beach, sleeping under the covers, and chasing her favorite ball.
